Hello, I am Jeffrey (Yu Che) Wang, and welcome to my personal website. I am from Taipei, Taiwan. I am studying at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I major in Computer Science and minor in Electrical Engineering. I have passion in the field of artificial intelligence, especially computer vision. I am currently working on localizing sound sources in videos with prior knowledge. I am also interested in web development. In my leisure time, I enjoy travelling, snorkelling, working out, and playing basketball.

The project is mainly about teaching coumputers to associate visual features with audio features by training a two-stream convolutional neural network. I enhance performance by providing the model with prior knowledge: utilizing image segmentation network to improve consistency among pixels and audio separation algorithms to separate mixed audios.

Summer Research Intern, Summer 2018

This summer internship gives me a peek to computer vision research. Throught the summer, I created a program to transfer human face photos to human face skecthes. Conditional generative adversarial network is used to cope with the lack of training data. Principal component analysis is used to speed up computation. Besides research, I attended group meetings and presented paper reviews. With this experience, I am able to delve more deeply into the field of computer vision.

This is an ongoing project for the course CS411 Database Systems. I work with a group of 3 people to build a social platform and sharing website for science fictions and novels. With online available fictions, we organize a database and a recommendation system for users to search easily. Users can also share their moments reading novels with their friends. This brings the science fiction community together.
